Slap on some Zinc, pull on that beavertail wetsuit and dust off your yellowed single-fin because we’re Rolling Retro with RVCA again.

For 5 years now Robby and Kai have been putting on what’s easily SA’s most awesome surf event – well, at least now that The Billabong Pro is kaput – which pays homage to surfing’s colourful culture and hedonistic heritage by inviting surfers to put their toes-to-the-nose and go with the flow.

Once again Vudu Surf’s enviable quiver of retro boards – from vintage John Whitmores to Clive Barber mini-guns to Martin Potter Twin fins and those garish 80′s thrusters- will be the weapons of choice, while the Llandudno Lifesaving Club’s grassy knoll will see both surfers and spectators making a spectacle of themselves in dubious dayglo and other 70s garb.

Prizes will go to the best dressed, best surfers, best retro board and whoever else Robbie and Kai feel like handing the swag out to. After the sun sets the commentators mic will be handed over to Bilderberg Motel, the Larter Bros and DJ Ike.
